<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #15-03-072 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A 2-YEAR LABOR AGREEMENT WITH LELS- <br />SERGEANTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the current LELS-Sergeants contract expired on December 31, <br />2014; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> city staff and LELS-Sergeants have reached a tentative agreement <br />on a two-year labor agreement, effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City will administer the 2015-2016 labor agreement as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE TWENTY FIVE (25) DURATION: <br />2-years / January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 <br /> <br />ARTICLE TWENTY THREE (23) SALARIES: <br />2015: 2% Increase to the 2014 wage scale, effective on 01-01-15, for a Cost of Living <br />Adjustment. <br /> <br />2016: 2% increase to the 2015 wage schedule, effective on 01-01-16 for Cost of Living <br /> <br />Adjustment. <br /> <br />April 1, 2016: Adjust the wage scale to begin at 85%, with 3% between steps and <br />increase the Sergeants wage to the comparable market as follows: <br />Step 1 $36.51, Step 2 <br />$37.80, Step 3 $39.08, Step 4 $40.37, Step 5 $41.66, and Step 6 $42.95. <br /> <br />Field Training Officer Supplemental Pay: Employees assigned in writing by the <br />Employer to fulfill this assignment shall receive $2.50 per hour over base pay while <br />working in that capacity. <br /> <br />ARTICLE FOURTEEN (14) VACATION <br />: An Employee's accrued or "banked" <br />vacation leave must be equal to or less than two times the yearly accrual by December <br />31st of each year; any accruals exceeding this amount will be forfeited. <br /> <br />ARTICLE SEVENTEEN (17) HOLIDAYS: <br /> Employees required to work on any of <br />the holidays of: Martin Luther King's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence <br />Day (4th of July), Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, <br />Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day shall receive an additional 1/2 time <br />Resolution #15-03-072 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
