Of.CDBG_.F~nds: <br /> <br />Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. <br /> <br />Councilmember $chlueter referred to EDC's meeting of November 14, 1984 at <br />which time they recommended a couple of uses for CDBG funds, one of which <br />acquisition of industrial property. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle replied that EDC has backed off on their recommendation for land <br />acquisition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that Item #1 in the proposed resolution is a <br />broad statement; if EDC wants to develop along Hwy. #47, why isn't that made <br />known in the resolution? <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that EDC now wants CDBG funds put into the Economic <br />Development Company to be used to financially assist existing businesses to <br />expand and new businesses to come into the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that those plans should be stated in the <br />resolution. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnie Cox stated that the resolution is needed to satisfy County <br />requirements so we don't lose those CDBG funds; the resolution is being worded <br />in broad terms so we don't lock ourselves into a specific use. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution 984-241 approving the uses of H.U.D. Community Develolmtent <br />Block Grant funds. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-241). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Schlueter, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />_Case #7: Council__Personnel._Co~mittee. Re~ardin~ Citv~En)ployee..Salaries.
