Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />PROPOSED RESOLUTION g93-06- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN AC"C-ESSORY STRUCTURE <br />NEARER THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE <br />ON THE PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN 17758 TONTO STREET N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Steven Pfeiffer, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied <br />for a Board of Adjustment variance from Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code to construct an <br />accessory garage nearer the front property line than the principal structure on the property generally <br />known as 17758 Tonto Street N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of Government Lot 1 and the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of <br />Section 1, Township 32, Range 25 in Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: <br />Commencing at a point on the east line of said Government Lot 1, said point being a <br />distance of 980.6 feet south of the intersection of the east line of the Northeast Quarter of <br />the Northeast Quarter of said Section 1 and the centerline of County State Aid Highway <br />No. 7 as it is now laid out and travelled, thence north 85 degrees 00 minutes west a <br />distance of 800 feet, thence south 2 degrees 24 minutes east a distance of 335.85 feet to the <br />point of beginning of land to be described; then continue south 2 degrees 24 minutes east <br />on the same described line a distance of 123.68 feet, thence south 79 degrees 36 minutes <br />west a distance of 358.50 feet, thence south 1 degree 07 minutes 58 seconds east a distance <br />of 32.15 feet, thence south 81 degrees 07 minutes 53 seconds west a distance of 293.36 <br />feet, thence north a distance of 366.96 feet on a line which if extended southerly would <br />intersect the south line of said Southwest Quarter of Northeast Quarter at right angles <br />thereto, thence south 79 degrees 55 minutes 48 seconds east a distance of 583.83 feet, <br />thence north 89 degrees 13 minutes 51 seconds east a distance of 58.77 feet to the point of <br />beginning. For the purposes of this description, the east line of said government lot is <br />assumed to bear south (subject to restrictions, <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on June 24, 1993 and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a pan of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and is approximately 3.3 acres in <br />size. <br /> <br />3. That the subject property is sun-ounded by R-1 Rural Residential zoning. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code. does not permit the construction of <br />accessory structures nearer the front property line than the principal smacture. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the principal structure on the subject property is located approximately 50 feet from the <br />nearest point on the front property line. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to construct a 30' x 48' accessory garage approximately 20 <br />feet from the nearest point on the front property line. <br /> <br /> <br />
