CASE

RECEIVE BID FOR RELOCATING ELECTRIC
OUTLETS IN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
By: Kay McAIoney, Personnel Coordinator

Background:

Several weeks ago, Councilmember Glen Hardin reviewed the remodeling in Administrative
Services. It was noted that although the changes are more effective and efficient, there is a hazard
to having the outlets in the middle of the walk space for Receptionist J. Kusler and
Receptionist/Network Support K. Johnson. Councilmember Hardin requested that Staff get a bid
to relocate the outlets.

Observations:

Tim Lehn from Lehn Electric met with Building Maintenance Worker Dan BraY to review options
for relocation of the outlets. To relocate the outlets in the walk space for J. Kusler and K.
Johnson, the cost would be 333.35 (plus permits and fees). They would be moved under each of
the two desks. The holes would be covered with a stainless plate. There are two more outlets in
Administrative Services, but they are not in walk spaces.

Committee Action:

To approve/not approve relocating the two outlets at an estimated cost of $400.00 with funding
provided from the operating budget of Cost Center #1194 - Gener~al Government Buildings.

Reviewed By:

City Administrator
Personnel Coordinator
Finance Officer

FC:02-23-93
