Finally, it was discussed at thc Goals Workshop, the Lake lmsca/Ermine District Trail running from the Whispering Pines in North Fork Subdivision north to the I-lumer's Ridge Subdivision. While we are requesting a $120,000 allocation from the Land_t"fll Trust ]::und, it was expressed that we have some concerns regarding the amount of wetland in the area. Therefore, we're asking Council to encumber the funds, but at the same time the intent is to conduct the brush clemng and rough grading for the trail in-house, and to approach the Council again once the rough graciing and therefore the trail alignment is more refined and the cost estimates for trail completion are more specific. As you know, the costs rise with me amount of Wetland that needs to be traversed and we are currently workS, rig with North Fork and the Department of Natural Resources to reduce the amount of wetland ri'ail that needs to be constructed.
