The drainage system consists of channelling street runoff to two dry, four foot
depressions. These depressions are connected with storm sewer and propose to overflow
through the adjacent Cedar Hills subdivision. Since these are drainage areas will be
normally dry, the aesthetics at influent points becomes a concern. Sextiment and litter from
the su-cets can accumulate at inflow points. As a result, Staff believes the number of such
points should b¢ kept to a minimum. Staff recommends that the discharge from Yanadium
Street N.W. be eliminated and routed to the discharge point from 142nd Avenue N.W.
Also, Staff has not received engineering calculations regarding the sizing of the ponding
ama, and therefore approval of this plan is contingent upon verification of these pond sizes
and thc allowable overflow discharge rote. The drainage and grading plan docs not include
commercial and multi-family residential Lots 33 and 34.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 1993
to consider the request for preliminary plat approval of Sunfish Square. We suggest that you, or
your representative, bc present at the me, ting to answer any questions that may arise.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call at 427-1410.

Respectfully,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Sylvia Frolik
Zoning Administrator

'Steven ski
City Engdneer

Jeff Caine
Caine & Associates
17720 Hwy. #65 N.E.
Ham Lake, MN 55304

t3
