COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Transportation Trail Corridor Proposal <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos stated that the Cities of Anoka and Ramsey have met at <br />the Council level and discussed trail linkages. He stated that Metropolitan Council's <br />Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) is requesting proposals for bicycle and walkway <br />projects and a total of $1.5 million may be available for this area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to direct City <br />Staff to make a proposal to involve the City in the Metropolitan Councils Transportation <br />Advisory Board Grant Program. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councitmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Expand a <br /> Manufacturing Operation in the B-1 Business District <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Mr. Ron Danner, Danner's Cabinet Shop, 16735 <br />Quicksilver Street N.W., has applied for a conditional use permit to expand his <br />manufacturing operation in the B-1 Business District. The proposed expansion consists of <br />construction of a 1,920 square foot wood and stucco building to be used for storage <br />purposes. She stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing <br />on October I5, 1992 at which one letter of opposition to the expansion was submitted. The <br />Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of Mr. Danner's request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt <br />Resolution #92-10-281 adopting Findings of Fact #0325 relating to Mr. Ron Danner's <br />request to expand a manufacturing facility in the B-1 Business District. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Hardin. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #x92-10-282 approving the issuance of a conditional use permit based on <br />Findings of Fact #0325 to Ron Danner to expand the manufacturing facility at 16735 <br />Quicksilver Street N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Peterson. VotingNo: None. Abstain: CouncilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Danner's Cabinet Shop <br /> <br />Zoning AdministratOr Frolik stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission is <br />recommending approval of Mr. Danner's site plan contingent upon him planting spruce <br />trees north of the driveway in the northwest comer of the property for screening purposes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to approve the site <br />plan for the expansion of Danner;'s Cabinet Shop at 16735 Quicksilver Street N.W. <br />contingent upon the applicant entering into a development agreement with the City. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
