Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson adjourned the regular City Council meeting at 7:41 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearing: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Improvement Project ~92-16 - water service connection for the Anna Boe property <br />at PIN 25-32-25-23-0004 <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:42 p.m. <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Commendation to Police Officer Sheldon Erdman <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos asked City Council to join him in commending Police Officer Erdman, <br />not necessarily for what he did in saving Matt Mickelson's life, as that is a Police Officer's <br />duty, but to commend him for the "kind voice and gentle manner" way of handling the <br />situation. Chief Auspos read the letter from Sylvia Mickelson, Matt's mother, describing <br />Officer Erdman's kind actions and manner. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin stated that often a police officer's work goes unrecognized and <br />congratulated Officer Erdman for doing his job so well. He suggested passing along <br />words of commendation to the rest of Ramsey's Police Officers for the great job they are <br />doing. He added that Council appreciates hearing such responses from the City's <br />residents. <br /> <br />Case #2: Presentation by the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities <br /> (AMM) <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that due to budget Cuts, the City of Ramsey didn't buy <br />a membership into the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM) for 1992. <br /> <br />A presentation was given by Karen Anderson, Councilmember from Minnetonka, Gene <br />White, Councilmember from Prior Lake and Roger Peterson, Staff person with the AMM. <br />They discussed AMM's mission statement, main purposes and benefits of being a member <br />of this organization.
