Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Administrative Services Capital Request <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder requested reallocating money from the existing <br />Administrative Services supplies budget to make changes in the reception area. The second <br />request is to use money from the equipment replacement fund to purchase 13 secretarial <br />chairs instead of the 10 budgeted for in 1993. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to <br />authorize the expenditure of up to $3,000 out of the Administrative Services supplies <br />budget for completion of two work stations and related improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilm~rfibers Zimmerman, Hardin, <br />Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />authorize expenditure from the equipment replacement fund for secretarial chairs for the <br />Departments of Police, Administrative Services and Finance in an amount not to exceed <br />$3,500. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case g'7: Amendment to Chapter 2 of the Ramsey City Code <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the City Council has the opportunity to set its <br />meeting times and dates and order of business as it so chooses. It has been suggested by <br />members of the Council that the meeting time change to 7:00 p.m. He added that Staff <br />would like to suggest that the order of business be slightly amended also. The Economic <br />Development Commission has requested City Council to amend Chapter 2 of the City Code <br />to allow for non-Ramsey residents to serve on Commissions. Earlier this year Council <br />made the change in the alternative after significant discussion. Mr. Schroeder stated that <br />lack of change as requested by the EDC would result in not being able to reappoint <br />Commissioner Vevea to another term on their Commission.
