Councilmember Hardin stated that Council could facilitate it so if people are going to be <br />late, their case can be moved closer to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer felt that changing the meeting time to 7:00 p.m. would be confusing <br />because it's been at 7:30 p.m. for so many years. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Petcrson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to introduce <br />Ordinance ~tt92-X.X amending Chapter 2 of thc Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson and Hardin. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #8: Reappointment of Economic Development Comm'~ssioners <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to reappoint <br />Ken Wagner to the Economic Development Con.mission to a term set to expire on January <br />31, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />reappoint Carolyn Nelson to the Economic Development Commission to a term set to <br />expire on January 31, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, <br />Hardin and Peterson. : <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to file for a <br />vacancy to fill the seat of Bernie Vevea on the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried: Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and <br />Hardin. Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman: Because he feels this sends out a poor <br />message to the business community by saying they can't be represented on the Economic <br />Development Commission. He stated the EDC would be the one commission they'd have a <br />place for input but it appears this Council doesn't have an interest in economic <br />development_ <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson stated that the amendment to Chapter 2 hasn't been given a chance yet <br />and if it doesn't work, it can always be reviewed again. <br /> <br />Case #9: Discussion Pertaining to Labor Negotiations (Closed) <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by councilmember Peterson to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
