Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />PROPOSED RESOLUTION #93-06- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # <br />A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> <br />RELATING TO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Tmnny's, Inc., hereinafter referred to <br />as "Applicant", has properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit to disassemble engines <br />and transmissions and conduct wholesale operations in the Industrial District on the <br />property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a <br />public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on June 1, <br />1993, and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of <br />said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the subject parcels total approximately 1.8 acres. <br /> <br />That the subject parcels are located in the Industrial District. <br /> <br />That the adjacent parcels to the north, east and ~outh are zoned Industrial and the <br />adjacent parcels to the west are zoned Business Warehouse. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That on March 9, 1993, the City Council approved the issuance of a conditional use <br />permit to Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc., to expand the <br />aluminum processing operations on Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park <br />Plat #2 to include the disassembly of engines and transmissions. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that if a conditional use permit is granted for the <br />disassembly of engines and transmissions on Lots 2 and 3, said activity will cease <br />on Lot 1, which property is generally known as Danny's Aluminum Processing, <br />Inc., 14050 Basalt Street N.W. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to construct a 12,500 square foot cement block <br />building on Lots 2 and 3 to provide indoor space for the disassembly of engines <br />and uansmissions and wholesale operations. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Applicant has submitted a site plan drawn by Hakanson Anderson <br />Associates, Inc. consisting of four (4) sheets dated .8/26/92 with revision dates of <br />8/27/92, 9/16/92 and 5/11/93 and a two (2) sheet of building plans drawn by <br />Graphic Design with a latest revision date of 5/11/93. <br /> <br /> <br />
