Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />inu'oduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />RESOLUTION g93-09- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO <br />CURTISS TrrTERUD'S REQUEST FOR A CONDITION'X'L'--USE PERMIT TO <br />MAINTAIN AN ACCESSORY APARTMENT IN A SINGLE FAMILY <br />DWELLING UNIT IN THE R-I RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Curtiss Titterud, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied <br />for a Conditional Use Permit to maintain an accessory apartment in a single family dwelling unit in <br />the R-1 Rural Residential District on the property generally known as 6865 162nd Lane N.W. and <br />legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That part of the east half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a <br />point on the West line of the east half of the Northwest Quarter a distance of 1,356 <br />feet north of the Southwest comer thereof. Then south 80 degrees 48 mutes east <br />80.61 feet then south 47 degrees 32 minutes east 260.25 feet then south 5 degrees <br />11 minutes east 282.5 feet then north 89 degrees 38 minutes east 191.47 feet to <br />actual point of beginning of tract to be described, then north 0 degrees 22 mutes <br />west 199.27 feet then north 40 degrees 1 minute 24 seconds east 222.56 feet to a <br />point bearing south 49 degrees 58 minutes 36 seconds east 315.08 feet from a point <br />390 feet east of the west line and 175 feet south of the north line of the east half of <br />the Northwest Quarter. Then south 49 degrees 58 minutes 36 seconds west 161.42 <br />feet then south 30 degrees 22 minutes 47 seconds west 307.4 feet then south 89 <br />degrees 38 minutes west 110 feet to actual point of beginning. For purposes of this <br />description, the south line of said Northwest Quarter is assumed to bear north 89 <br />degrees 38 minutes east. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public <br />hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on September 7, 1993, and <br />that the public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing <br />are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the subject property is approximately one (1) acre in size. <br /> <br />3. That the subject property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the surrounding properties are also zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That according to Ramsey City Code Section 9.20.11, the R-1 Rural Residential District is <br />intended for single family dwelling units. ~ <br />That the Applicant is currently utilizing the fowerilevel of the dwelling on the subject <br />property as an accessory apartment. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has submitted a petition signed by-tWelve (12) area property owners <br />stating their support of the request for a conditional use permit for an accessory apartment. <br /> <br /> <br />
