<br />CASE I: , <br /> <br /> <br />COMMl!NITY SERVICE A \\' ARD <br />B~': Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As a result of City Councils and the Park and Recreauon CommissIOn s desIre to msntute <br />a formal resident panIcIpant and volunteer program, a Commum~' ServIce A ward Program <br />has c:volved. <br /> <br />In October, City Council adopted the CommIssIOn's three-tiered recognition program. <br />which in most cases would entail the following: <br /> <br />I) Present volunteer with a personalized certificate. (This will occur upon completion <br />of the activity. <br /> <br />III The volunteer will be acknowledged publicly via the Ramsey Resident Newsletter <br />and Cable TV. (This also will occur near the time of the activity's completion,) <br /> <br />m) An official announcement, annuallv, which will include all volunteers, (This could <br />be done in conjunction with the En~'ironmental Expo and Arbor Day celebration and <br />also possibly at a City Council meeting.) <br /> <br />Observation: <br /> <br />In this season or giving and reflection or me year's events, it seems timely that we <br />recor!nize the individuals and on!anizations that have contributed to Ramsev's success as a <br />tor; notch suburban community,- (lncidemally.
