Additional Comments:

Ryan is an effective leader and administrator. He generally provides an opportunity for
input before a decision or recommendation is made, and he encourages staff to bring
forward new or alternative solutions.

While I felt during our previous Administrator's time that there was a strong tendency
towards fostering a "we-they" thought between management and labor this perception has
declined somewhat with Ryan, however I think it is still present. This may be due to his
own management style but I feel there needs to be more emphasis towards recognizing,
openly, the long-term as well as the short-term worth of staff persons. Some persons have
expressed, in coffee-shop talk, a concern that management in general is not concerned with
staff feelings.

I view his job as one of a coordinator. We have within our staff much strength and
knowledge, which I think could be utilized more. I also think that the overall effect should
be kept in mind more than personal opinion. More working together rather than the "they
versus us" attitude.

I did not attempt to address questions one and three because I have not had the degree of
overall organizational involvement that would allow me to objectively address them.

My observation is that his conduct/style with persons outside of this organization is
positive.
