Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-03- RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR FUNDING OF I993 LANDFILL ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on Recycling and the Environment (SCORE Legislation) which provides for collection of sales tax on solid waste disposal; and WHEREAS, counties are responsible for the dispersion of said funds to municipalities; and WHEREAS, an agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required prior to the distribution of funds for municipal landfill abatement programs for SCORE funds reimbursement; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is eligible for a total of $25,120.60 of SCORE funding for 1993. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That the City of Rn,-nsey hereby approves the agreement between the City of Ramsey and Anoka County regarding the full participation of the City of Ramsey in establishing landfill abatement programs pursuant to SCORE Legislation and funding from Anoka County regarding the same. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the agreement and any other necessary documents on behalf of the City. 3) That the SCORE funds, in the amount of $25,120.60, be used to reimburse the City for the cost of the City-wide Curbside Recycling Program, The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of March, 1993.
