The appointment of individuals to the Official Map Appeals Board will be placed on a future <br />work session or City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Although the City Council will need to further discuss how many people will be appointed and <br />what individuals will serve on the Official Map Board of Appeals, the City Council can still <br />introduce the Official Map Ordinance since the ordinance is not specific about who serves on the <br />board but rather the process they need to go through when reviewing zoning requests that were <br />denied by the City Council. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the Official Map ordinance at their April 1, 2004 meeting <br />and recommended that the City Council introduce the ordinance. <br /> <br />Enclosed: Ordinance <br /> <br />Action: I~rold a public hearing and introduce the Official Map Ordinance. <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance to Rezone properties to Official Map: <br /> <br />As previously mentioned, the City has been working to official map the Highway 10 corridor <br />that will be utilized for future highway improvements. The AUAR and Technical Report to <br />Establish an Official Map has been completed, therefore the City is in the position to take action <br />to .zone the properties Officially Mapped. <br /> <br />Enclosed: <br /> <br />Official Map <br />Findings of Fact <br />Ordinance <br /> <br /> Action: ,4dopt findings of fact and introduce the ordinance to official map the subject <br />properties. <br /> <br />Introduce H-1 Highway 10 Ordinance: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and City Council held a joint work session on March 16, 2004. <br />During the meeting, the Commission and Council discussed how to draft the H-1 Highway #10 <br />Business District Ordinance in a manner that reflects appropriate development within the <br />corridor until such time that the properties are needed to construct the highway improvements. <br /> <br />As a result of the joint meeting on March 16th, Staff was directed to complete the following: <br /> <br />Review the permitted uses established in the B-2 district and Provide recommendation on <br />those uses that may not be appropriate in the H-1 District. <br />Review the building square footage allowed in the B-2 district and provide a <br />recommendation as to an appropriate square footage reduction. <br /> <br />Below is a summary of the proposed ordinance with reference to the sections contained in the <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />Intent: Confirms that the properties are in a state of transition and therefore the City is looking at <br />providing standards to guide appropriate development until such time that the corridor is <br />improved to freeway standards. <br /> <br /> <br />
