CltARTER C()MMISS1ON <br />CITY ()F RAMSEY <br />AN()KA C()UNTY <br /> STATE ()F MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Charter Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, March <br />1993 at thc Ramscv Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthcn Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Bernard Steffen <br />Commissioner Dennis Donovan <br />Commissioner John Goode <br />Commissioner Richard Netzloff <br />Commissioner J ay Swokowski <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Judy Marn <br />Commissioner Fred Stretar <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Git3' Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Steffen called the regular meeting of ihe Charter Commission to order at 7:31 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Swokowski and seconded by.Commissioner Netzloff to approve <br />the following Charter Commission minutes: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br /> <br />Charter Commission meeting minutes dated August 27, 1992. <br />Charter Commission meeting minutes dated November 19, 1992. <br /> <br />Morion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Steffen, Commissioners Swokowski, Netzloff, <br />Donovan and Goode. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Marn and Srretar. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />}~'~se .,91: <br /> <br />Review Chapter 3 with regard to Precinct Liaison Meetings <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Council has commented about precinct liaison <br />meetings and the tack of response by residents. Consensus of the Council was that if these <br />meetings are not serving a purpose, maybe the Charter should review the requirement of <br />such meetings. He stated Chairperson Steffen and he had briefly discussed holding <br />"annual town meetings" instead which would be one public forum for no other reason than <br />to "hear from the public". Mr. Schroeder stated that a proposed ordinance is included in <br /> <br />Charter Commission/March 18, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
