Absent: Commissioners Terry and Thorud. <br /> <br />The Commission was polled as to who had seen the subject property prior to the meeting. <br />Commissioner Hendriksen had not seen it, Commissioner Holland had seen it 2 months prior, <br />Chaff'person Bawden and Commissioner LaDue had seen it 1 1/2 months prior, and Commissioner <br />Deemer had seen it 2 weeks prior. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaDue inquired if Commissioner Deemer had seen any improvement from 1 1/2 <br />months ago to his visit 2 weeks ago, and Commissioner Deemer confm:ned that he had, and if Mr. <br />Karst adheres to what is proposed, that it would be an improvement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen stated that he had seen the inside in the past and that it conveys that Mr. <br />Karst doesn't care what people think of his operation. Commissioner Hendriksen stated that this is <br />a very offensive operation, and he fears that the City will have a repeat of Mr. Karst's past <br />pracuces. <br /> <br />Morion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Holland to table this case <br />until the next meeting so the Commi ssioners can review the property and the status of the permit <br /> <br />Further Discussion: An unidentified citizen stated there was quite a bit of run-off coming from <br />inside and that the concrete is soaked coming from that dock. Commissioner Hendriksen stated <br />that in the past he has seen open 55 galIon oil drums standing in water, and he is concerned about <br />the intent to change that.
