Councilmemb~r adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for i~s PROPOSED RESOLUTION g93-06- A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # A REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT RELATING TO WHEREAS, Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Tmnnfs, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit to disassemble engines and transmissions and conduct wholesale operations in the Industrial District on the property legally described as follows: Lots 2, 3 and 4, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2, Anoka County, Minnesota. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Rarnsey City Code on June 1, 1993, and that said pubhc hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. 2. That the subject parcels total approximately 1.8 acres. 3. That the subject parcels are located in the Industrial District. That the adjacent parcels to the north, east and south are zoned Industrial and the adjacent parcels to the west are zoned Business Warehouse. That on March 9, 1993, the City Council approved the issuance of a conditional use permit to Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Alnminum Processing, Inc., to expand the aluminum processing operations on Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2 to include the disassembly of engines and transmissions. That the Applicant is proposing to consu'uct a 12,500 square foot cement block building on Lots 2 and 3 to provide indoor space for the disassembly of engines and u'ansmissions and wholesale operations. Lot 4 is shown as a furore expansion area on the site plan. That the Applicant has submitted a site plan drawn by Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. consisting of four (4) sheets dated 8/26/92 with revision dates of 8/27/92, 9/16/92 and 5/11/93 and a two (2) sheet of building plans drawn by Graphic Design with a latest revision date of 5/11/93. That the Applicant is proposing to conduct on-site wholesale operations for the engine and transmission parts resulting from the disassembly operations and lransport aluminum by-products resulting from the disassembly operations to the aluminum processing facility on Lot 1 for processing.
