Councilmember <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved for it adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION g93-07- <br /> <br />AWARDING PLANNING SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 23, 1993, the Ramsey Council Finance Committee <br />recommended that up to $25,000 be set aside for land use and transportation planning; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 23, 1993, the City Council allocated $11,485 from 1993 <br />Community Development Block Grant funds toward this effort by passage of Resolution g93-02- <br />025; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 23, 1993, the City Council authorized requesting state matching <br />funds towards state mandated shoreland planning by passage of Resolution g93-03-045; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by motion Council accepted the terms of the shoreland grant on April 13, <br />1993 authorizing up to $3,500 in matching funds; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the above actions a request for planning services was prepared; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 12, 1993, the City received proposals for the planning elements as <br />follows; and <br /> <br />Firm Land Use Transportation Protection Tg~ <br /> <br />Short Elliott Hendrickson <br /> <br />Hakanson Anderson Assoc., Inc. <br />Orr Schelen Mayeron & Assoc., Inc. <br /> <br />10,840 19,235 11,200 42,075 <br /> <br />11,065 17,195 4,675 32,935 <br />12,320 ~ 7,840 36,040 <br />15,880 18,300 5,840 40,020 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has directed Anoka County to contract for an <br />update to the County Transportation Plan precedent to a request from the City of Ramsey for an <br />urban service area expansion; and <br /> WHEREAS, th~~-~.o..--~~ has requested a proposal for the plan update from <br />the fn'm BRW, Inc. uptfi-':ffi~ premise that the Cities of.Ramsey and Andover would each <br />contribute up to 33% of the project cost not ~ed $9~ <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to.enter into agreements for planning <br />services as follows: <br /> <br />Land Use Plan Update <br />Protection Element <br />Transportation Plan <br /> <br />RLK @ $7,500 plus direct costs <br />RLK @ $5,000 plus direct costs <br />BRW @ $15,880 plus direct costs <br /> <br /> <br />
