Motion carried. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS - 3 <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />O'Cormell brought up the upcoming annual Alliance of Community <br />Media (formerly NFLCP) conference scheduled for July 21-25, 1993 in <br />Atlanta, GA stating there should be a discount off the airfare and the <br />figures he gave did not include meals. After some discussion regarding <br />budget constraints and educational benefits, motion was made by Don <br />Jacobson, seconded by Ken Peterson SEND TWO EMPLOYEES AT <br />$1,904 PLUS $25/DAY/EMPLOYEE FOR MEAL STIPEND. <br /> <br />7 ayes - 0 nays. Motion carried. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS - 4 <br /> <br />4.1 <br /> <br />O'Connell presented the completed marketing and rate card brochure. <br />Discussion was held regarding how to advertise, how to implement, <br />and what sales people to use/hire. <br /> <br />Cotten question on how sales people were paid, whether percentage or <br />fee. It was decided that this would be handled by the Personnel <br />Committee to hire and establish payment for sales people. <br /> <br />4.2 <br /> <br />O'Connell mentioned that QCTV-33 is looking at a new sport schedule <br />which will include teams such as the Anoka Legion re'am, the Anoka <br />Town team, and the Anoka Spooks. The Anoka Spooks is a weI1- <br />known women's softball team but also an elite team. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />O'Connell stated that the oldest camcorder, a Panasonic 170, has been <br />missing since January. This has been discussed at the weekly meetings <br />and new check out procedures are being implemented. The League of <br />Midwest Insurance Trust denied the claim flied by O'Cormell due to no <br />evidence of stolen property. O'CormeI1 also stated that a wireless <br />microphone disappeared at a hockey game. The League has <br />reimbursed QCTV $468.62 which was the microphone's value less the <br />$250 deductible. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned why WOR out of New York is not carried or <br />offered as part of the cable service. It was stated that to carry three <br />imported TV channels, the expense in 'copyright fees makes it <br />prohibitive. Also, there is no channel spectrum to add another <br />channel right now. Therefore, this service will not be put on cable. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br /> <br />
