NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that the Ramsey City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />August 24, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet described as follows: <br /> <br /> An Environmental Assessment Worksheet 0EAW) has been prepared for the final <br />section of 153rd Avenue N.W. The proposed project consists of the construction of <br />approximately .69 miles of collector roadway between Variol.ite Street N.W. and Count3, <br />Road #83 (Armstrong Blvd. N.W.). The proposed project comprises a major segment of <br />an east/west corridor identified in the City's transportation plan. <br /> <br /> The proposed alignment traverses undeveloped and low density residential parcels <br />which are zoned "R~IR" (minimum lot size of 2.5 acres). The 80' right-of-way for the <br />road encompasses approximately 6.72 acres. The proposed all,merit skirts a protected <br />wetland (lllP); approximately t.31 acres of Type IV wetlands wild be impacted. <br />Mitigation MI1 be provided through the creation of a new wetland basin and enhancement <br />of existing wetlands. When completed, the roadway is expected to carry an average daily <br />traffic load in excess of 600 average daily trips (ADT).'with single lanes in each direction. <br /> <br />All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and comment on the Environmental <br />Assessment Worksheet. <br /> <br />The Ramsey Cit3, Council will conduct an additional public hearing on Tuesday, September 14, <br />1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. The purpose of the hearing is to declare a finding on the EAW for the above mentioned <br />section of street~ <br /> <br />Written comments are welcome and shall be addressed to the Ramsey City Council, 15153 <br />Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, 55303.
