and appropriate wetland documents prepared, and a stormwater quality and quantity analysis will <br />be completed. <br /> <br />The proposer will review preliminary drafts and final documents with City staff. In consultation <br />with City staff, final environmental review and permit documents will be forwarded to the <br />respective review agencies. The proposer will also assist City staff with preparing responses to the <br />EAW and environmental permit comments. <br /> <br />Preliminary_ Engineering Desi~ <br /> <br />Preliminary design activities will include preparing horizontal and vertical alignments, developing <br />the roadway storm sewer system, and completing roadway design surveys and topographical <br />contours. The preliminary design should also define future residential street connections and <br />provide for the installation of sanitary sewer and water mains. Street design should be prepared to <br />MSA standards and necessary approval shall be secured by the proposer to ensure MSA eligibility <br />of design engineering services. A preliminary construction cost estimate and material quantities <br />will be prepared as part of Task III. <br /> <br />The proposer will be available to meet with City staff to review preliminary drafts and final repons <br />associated with Task III. In consultation with City staff, the proposer will be available to present <br />the preliminary engineering design report to the appropriate policy bodies and to the City Council. <br /> <br />Task IV <br /> <br />Final Eneneering Desi~ for Phase I <br /> <br />In consultation with City staff, the proposer will commence with the f'mal engineering design after <br />the City Council has approved the preliminary engineering design. Final engineering design, <br />however, will only be for Phase I of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. (approximately three-fourths mile <br />from Krypton Street N.W.). Final engineering design for Phase I shall include final roadway <br />grades (to detail design standards), fight-of-way and easement _map and descriptions; final plan and <br />construction documents, final plan and material quantities and cost estimates; roadway <br />specifications and contractor bid package, and ail related utility specifications and plans. <br /> <br />Task V <br /> <br />Construction Management and Inspection for Phase I <br /> <br />The successful proposer shall provide construction management, inspection and staking services. <br />Compensation for staking and inspection shall be on an hourly basis; however, the proposer shall <br />provide an estimate of the cost of these services for budgetary purposes. <br /> <br />Proposals <br /> <br />Proposals shall be submitted by Monday, October 4, 1993. It shall contain a synopsis of this <br />request for proposal to demonstrate the proposers understanding of this work along with an <br />estimate of the number of hours to complete each task identified above.
