Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #93-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br /> CONTRACT FOR EXPENDITURE OF <br />BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR PAVING PATHS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a transmittal dated September I4, 1992, the City of Ramsey was <br />notified that it has $9,090.00 eligible for reallocation as a result of unexpended balances from <br />previous Community Development Block Grant (CDBO) Project #861 (River's Bend Park) in the <br />amount of $1,451.00 and Project ~)46 (City Hall Accessibility) in the amount of $7,639.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 27, 1992, the City of Ramsey reallocated the unexpended <br />CDBG funds for the purpose of providing a bituminous surface on the paths to the various activity <br />areas at Central Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 7, 1993, the City of Ramsey solicited bids for paving the paths <br />at Central Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received one bid from Omann Brothers, Inc. in the amount of <br />$16.13 per lineal foot of path improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has issued a memorandum dated November 9, 1993, <br />establishing that $16.13 per lineal foot is a reasonable cost for the proposed improvements; and <br /> <br />feet. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has estimated the amount of paving to be installed is 2,000 lineal <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator and the Mayor are hereby authorized to enter into a contract, on <br />behalf of the City, with Omann Brothers, Inc. for the following improvements: <br /> <br />Sub-cutting, installation of Class 5, installation of bituminous, and turf restoration <br />of Central Park paths, as delineated by the City of Ramsey, at a rate of $16.13 per <br />lineal foot for a total cost not to exceed $9,090.00. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Contingent upon identification of an additional funding source in 1994, sub-cutting, <br />installation of Class 5, installation of bituminous and turf restoration of the <br />remainder of Central Park paths, as delineated by the City of Ramsey, at a rate of <br />$16.13 per lineal foot for a total cost not to exceed $23,170.00. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
