Case $1: <br /> <br />Request For Conditional Use Permit To Construct And Operake <br /> An Office And Warehouse _For An Electrical Contracting <br /> Business: Case Of Mr. Jeff Erikson: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris summarized the City Attorney's letter dated April 5, 1988 <br />regarding Mr. Erikson's case as follows: The property is zoned B-1 <br />Business; the residential structure existing on the property should be <br />viewed as a non-conforming use; and Mr. Erikson should proceed with a site <br />plan review for the commercial structure. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shumway stated that the property should then be definitely <br />assessed and taxed as commercial. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to table <br />any action on Mr. Jeff Erikson's case until he has provided the City with a <br />site plan for his commercial structure. Further, to request that the City <br />Assessor provide the Commission with a written report regarding the affect <br />on Mr. Erikson's property taxes by changing the principal use of the <br />property to Business. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Terry, Hendriksen and LaDue. <br />Holm and Howell. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Shumway, <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners <br /> <br />Case ~2: Requ_est For Preliminary Plat _Approval Of Rambosek Red Oak <br /> Estates: Case Of Mr. John Rambosek: <br /> <br />Mr. David Schulte was present representing Mr. JonRambosek. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the soil boring report and the City Engineer's <br />report. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the Corps of Engineers have reviewed the proposed <br />plat and indicated that Mr. Rambosek will not need a permit to add fill to <br />Lot 1, Block 2 as long as the filling is restricted to the northern portion <br />of the lot. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that DNR has indicated that there are no <br />protected wetlands on the site. <br /> <br />Lee Olson - 16421 Uranium - Inquired if he understands correctly that DNR <br />approved the property as buildable. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka replied that DNR did not determine that the land is buildable; <br />they have stated that there are no protected wetlands on the site and fill <br />can be added. <br /> <br />Lee Olson - Stated he moved to Ramsey for the peace and quiet; he does not <br />want to live in a city like 'Crystal'. <br /> <br />Comissioner Shumway stated that the proposed plat should go back to the <br />Park Commission to resolve park dedication requirements. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/April 5, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
