Bill Weiss - 16053 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. - Referred to the City's proposed <br />multi-trail system which would pass through this area; presented a petition <br />from area residents opposed to a trail system passing through this area. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that it would be more appropriate to submit the <br />petition to the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to <br />recommend approval of Mr. Jon Rambosek's request for preliminary plat <br />approval of Rambosek Red Oak Estates as presented to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission on April 5, 1988. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hendriksen inquired if the Commission <br />would get another opportunity to review this plat as there are still <br />questions regarding park dedication and the buildability of certain lots. <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that the Commission does not normally review <br />plats after preliminary approval; the developer has the right to add fill <br />to make the lots buildable; if that is not economically feasible for the <br />developer to do, the lots re~ain unbuildable. Ms. Norris stated that the <br />Park Commission will review and make a recommendation prior to the plat <br />being placed on a City Council agenda; it is proposed to take a maximum of <br />75 feet along the southern boundary to be used in the proposed trail <br />system. Lee 01son inquired if Mr. Rambosek can build the roads anywhere he <br />chooses once the plat is approved. Commissioner LaDue stated that the <br />roads will be established according to what is approved in the plat. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the meeting back to order at 9:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Case ~3: Requ_est For Preliminary Plat Approval Of Oakwood Hills: Ca~ <br /> Of Mr. David Schulte: <br /> <br />Mr. Schulte presented copies of a revised preliminary plat that responds to <br />some of the concerns expressed by the Con%mission on March 17. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to <br />recommend approval of Mr. David Schulte's request for preliminary plat <br />approval of Oakwood Hills with the following: <br /> <br />1. Variance to lot width being granted for Lots 1, 8, 9 and 10 of <br /> Block 1; Lot 2 of Block 2; and Lots 4 and 5 of Block 3. <br /> <br />2. The adding of fill being required on Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block 3; <br /> and Lots 4 and 5 of Block 1. <br /> <br />3. The drainage easement being continued across Lots 2 of Block 2. <br /> <br />4.
