The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />1. City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated April 26, <br /> 1988. <br /> <br />2. City Council special meeting minutes dated May 3, 1988. <br /> <br />3. City Council regular meeting minutes dated May 10, 1988. <br /> <br />4. City Council special meeting minutes dated May 11, 1988. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Proposed Snowmobile Ordinance: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris provided the Commission with copies of the most recent version <br />of the draft snowmobile ordinance based on comments from the last Park and <br />Recreation Commission discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Hetland to table <br />action on the proposed snowmobile ordinance in order to allow sufficient <br />time to review the draft. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Hetland, <br />Prall and Lokker. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Rustad, <br />Shumway and Johnson. <br /> <br />Refer to page 3 for further discussion. <br /> <br />Case #2: Review Proposed Plat Of Green Valley Estates 2nd Addi~.ioD <br /> Park Dedication Requirements: <br /> <br />Mr. Otto noted that the Commission previously tabled this because of the <br />lack of topographical information, which has still not been submitted. Mr. <br />Otto stated that based on the current park dedication ordinance, staff <br />recommends requiring the maximum amount of land. Mr. Otto noted that if <br />the proposed park dedication ordinance was in effect, the Commission could <br />require only the amount of land needed and the balance of park dedication <br />in cash. <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Bauer stated that he would prefer to pay a cash fee for park <br />dedication and explained that there is a park nearby to the northeast. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Prall to <br />recommend that the City require cash to satisfy the park dedication <br />requirements for Green Valley Estates 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Lokker and Prall. Voting No: <br />Johnson and Rustad. <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter, Commissioners Hetland, <br /> None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway, <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 7:26 p.m. in order to conduct the special joint <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/June 9, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
