Councilman Cox stated that he thought an agreement would be a <br />necessary requirement for good planning in the future in regards <br />to the second connection and when it would be available. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg wanted to know if the second connection was <br />only to serve residential. It was pointed out that it was the <br />intent that the second connection would serve the Urban Business <br />and the R-1 areas abutting Industrial Blvd. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg stated he had a further concern on the one <br />(1) unit per 10 acres as to what this would do to land valuation <br />where it had not been platted. He stated if you could not build <br />any more than one house per 10 acres you certainly would have to <br />reduce the assessed valuation of this unplatted land. It was <br />requested that a check be made with the City Assessor in regards <br />to valuation situation. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated that in some cases the people would not be <br />able to claim green acres in order to reduce their taxes on bare <br />land. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reiterated the request to have the Assessor submit <br />a report to Council regarding the effect one (1) unit per 10 acres <br />would have on land that was unplatted. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt <br />Resolution #82-24 Regarding Metropolitan Waste Control Commission <br />Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Line that will serve Ramsey's Second <br />Connection. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Cox, Sorteberg and Van Wagner. Voting no None. (please refer to <br />Resolution file for Resolution #82-24.) <br /> <br />Case #5 <br /> <br />Public Improvement Proje-t #82-1, MSA Street Project on <br />167th Avenue Between County Road #5 and State Highway <br />#47: <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the assessing of the commercial property <br />when the residential would not be assessed in regards to the <br />street improvement of 167th Avenue between County Road #5 and <br />State Highway #47 which is being financed through MSA funds. <br />Council tabled action on this because it will be coming for public <br />hearing on March 23, 1982 and that would be the appropriate time <br />to discuss this issue. <br /> <br />Case #3 Local Development Company <br /> <br />Council discussed the Local Development Company issue and decided <br />that they would have input from the Economic Development Commission <br />on this issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />to refer the Local Development Company issue to the Ramsey Economic <br />Development commission. Further to set a special Council meeting <br />for 7:30 A.M., March 10, 1~82. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Cox, Sorteberg and Van Wagner.
