He also wanted to know why
the residents of 165th were not being assessed since they will also benefit
by the paving of 164th.

Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Hosmer that H&S has done most of the paving for the
City and that he will most likely be told by H&S that a local driveway
contractor can put in his driveway cheaper than they can. He also stated that
residents of 165th are not being assessed because they have already paid for
their paved street.

Resident - 5431 164th Lane - Inquired as to who initiated this project.

Mayor Gamec informed him that the City initiated the project and public
hearing due to verbal requests from some of the residents of that area.

Bob Schuning - 5420 164th Lane - When it comes time to pave the second
addition, which also runs along my property, will I be assessed again?

Mayor Gamec informed Mr. Schuning that residents are only assessed for the
paving of the street that their driveway comes out on.

Charles Klein 5551 164th Lane - Inquired if I ½" blacktop is adequate for
that road, especially with the heavy equipment that will be using that
road when Barthel's second addition gets going.

Mayor Gamec replied that if the road is damaged by any of Barthel's heavy
equipment, Barthel will be held responsible.

James Barry - 5621 164th Lane - Stated that he and Mr. Klein have low

Sp C/April 20, 1982
Public Hearing
Page 1
