a landfill is made by the County board and an advisory person either from the <br />County or the City. <br /> <br />City Attorney recommends that after the meeting August 4, 1982, the City should <br />conduct a public hearing and then the City might be better informed to take <br />a strong stand on the landfill issue. <br /> <br />b) Mrs. Marilyn Gallagher To Discuss Landfill Abatement And Recycling- <br /> <br />Mrs. Gallagher stated that Ramsey must take steps towards an abatement program <br />or put the pressure on the County to do so. <br /> <br />Howard Carson - 15420 Kangaroo - Mr. Carson stated that if people know how <br />much landfill costs are going to rise, they will be more careful about recycling <br />aluminum and paper products. <br /> <br />Case #10: Formation Of A Local Development Corporation (LDC): <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />appoint the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Economic Development Commission, <br />if they agree, as the incorporators for the Local Development Corporation and <br />further to instruct City Staff to have the Company incorporated according to <br />Minnesota statutes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Adoption Of Resolution Requiring Land To Bo Properly Subdivided <br /> <br />Prior To Being Recorded: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution #82-106 requiring land to be properly subdivided prior to <br />being recorded. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #82-106). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Case #2: Adoption Of Proposed Ordinance Amending Chapter 10.09 Entitled <br /> <br />Personnel Policy: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Ordinance #82-10 amending Chapter 10.09 of the City's Personnel Code entitled <br />Personnel Policy. It is directed that this Ordinance be published in the <br />official newspaper, the Anoka County Union. It is further directed that each <br />department head and employee be furnished a copy of this Ordinance change and <br />that it is posted on the bulletin board. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg and Cox. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Van Wagner.
