Mayor Gamec then requested that Council act on Case #5 of Council New Business. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case ~5: Sno-Barons Snowmobile Club's Request To Hold 16TH Annual Hay Day Race <br /> And Be Issued A Beer License For The Event: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />of granting permission to the Sno-Barons to have their 16th Annual Hay Day <br />Race on September 12, 1982 on the property of Mr. Jack Menkveld located at <br />the junction of TH #10 and Armstrong Blvd. Further, to approve of granting a <br />3.2 beer license from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on September 12, 1982. It is <br />further directed that the Sno-Barons will abide by all regulations that will <br />be requested by the City of Ramsey Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Council then resumed Council Old Business. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Park Improvement Regarding Construction Of Proposed Recreation <br /> Facilities: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to approve <br />of the Federal Cartridge site for the proposed park and recreation improvement <br />project providing the area can be acquired from Federal Cartridge. It is <br />therefore directed that City Attorney Goodrich, City Administrator Schnelle <br />and Park and Recreation Commission Chairman Donovan be authorized to negotiate <br />to acquire the 40 acre parcel of land from the above said firm. Further, to <br />report back to the Council when the conditions for acquiring said land have <br />been worked out in order that Council may take appropriate action and <br />development can take place as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ga/nec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Reimann. <br /> <br />Council recessed for 10 minutes at 8:50 P.M. Council then moved ahead to Case #7, <br />Item (b). <br /> <br />Case #7: Zoning Problems: (B) Mr. Donald Walentiny, Storage Of Equipment/ <br /> Operating Business In An R-1 District: <br /> <br />b) Mr. Donald Walentiny, Storage Of Equipment/Operating Business in An R-1 <br /> District - <br /> <br />Mr. Walentiny was present and informed Council that most of the equipment on <br />his property will be removed by August 16, 1982. After that date, the only <br />equipment on his property will be for his own personal landscaping project, <br />and that equipment will be removed by October 1, 1982, at which time his own <br />personal landscaping project expects to be completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to accept <br />Mr. Walentiny's commitment to remedy the problem of storing business equipment <br />in an R-1 district. <br /> <br />C/July 27, 1982 <br /> Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
