on that this was a good site, just that there are more things wrong with the
other sites in Anoka.

A1 Bullick - 555 127th Avenue N.W. - Coon Rapids - My position is that if you
take it all, fine. But if you take 1/2 or 1/3, how do you determine the damage
that you have done to the rest of the area, because who wants to develop next
to a landfill? Taxes and interest are piling up and if it's going to go, go.
Let's get out from under the moratorium.

Jim George - 2261 Fairoak Avenue - Rent on my land is $10-$15/acre and I am
paying $60/acre taxes. I have no objections either way to a landfill, but
let's speed things up.

Marilyn Gallagher - If there are no good sites in Anoka, why are' we not abating
our garbage, why are we using methane?

Bob Hutchison - It was not a decision to go with methane, the type of
construction and type of operation that will be required, lends itself to
methane. It is something that just evolved.

Motion by Councilmember Reimann and secon~ded by coUnciimember Sorteberg to
adjourn the' special Council Meeting.

Motion carried.
