PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Wednesday, September <br />29, 1982 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann (Acting Mayor) <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg (arrived at 7:55 P.M.~ <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec (arrived at 8:45 P.M.) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann called the special meeting to order at 7:07 P.M. <br />Boy Scout Tony Baker led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox introduced Boy Scout Tony Baker to the audience. <br /> <br />Tony Baker explained that in order to obtain his Eagle Badge he had to <br />participate in a project that took at least 40 hours. For his project he <br />painted the hockey rink and the inside of the warming house and installed <br />shelving in the warming house. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox introduced Richard Baker, Tony's father, to the audience. <br />Councilmember Cox congratulated Tony for his fine work and his father for <br />his support and presented a plaque to Tony in appreciation of same. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox introduced Mr. Ed Fields, County Commissioner, and his <br />wife to the audience. Councilmember Cox commented that Ed Fields is one <br />of the finest persons he has ever known and that during his term as County <br />Commissioner he has served Ramsey exceptionally well. Councilmember Cox <br />then presented Mr. Fields with a plaque of appreciation for his efforts <br />put forth towards the improvement of County Rd. #56. <br /> <br />Mr. Fields commented that the Ramsey Staff is very cooperative and without <br />that, his accomplishments would not have been possible. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that now that Mr. Fields' term is ending, the <br />Ramsey Staff is going to miss working with him. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner commented that it has been very nice to have a <br />County Commissioner that can be depended upon. <br /> <br />Sp C/September 29, 1982 <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
