PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday,October 26, <br />1982 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka (arrived at 9:06 P.M.) <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Terry Hendriksen - 15631Ramsey Blvd. - Mr. Hendriksen stated that he is <br />having drainage problems due to recent improvements made to County Road #56, <br />and that he would like this matter added to tonight's agenda. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox confirmed the fact that there is a drainage problem, that <br />water runs from instead of to the culvert south of Mr. Hendriksen's parcel. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that this matter would be a County problem. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that it is also the City's problem and that the <br />Hendriksen's need the support of the City to get the County to correct the <br />drainage problem. <br /> <br />Terry Hendriksen stated that if a private contractor caused a drainage problem <br />in the City and was flooding surrounding residential property, the City would <br />act on it and just because it is the County that is involved, the City should <br />not hesitate to have them correct the problem. Mr. Hendriksen also stated <br />that he and his attorney have contacted the County and are trying to work <br />through the system, but they are not getting anywhere. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec tentatively placed Mr. Hendiksens case as Item #1 under New <br />Business. (Mr. Hendriksen's drainage problem was discussed as part of <br />Case #8 under Old Business). <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that according to P & Z Minutes dated October 5, 1982 <br />a Mr. Reinke approached the Commission during citizen input requesting a <br />special use permit to operate a landscaping business from his home and <br /> <br />C/October 26, 1982 <br /> Page 1 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
