U.D. Contracting - Due to the weather conditions, the <br />contractor lost 20 days:of working time. The Council <br />hereby grants the contractor an extension of time from <br />the first working day in 1983 as established by the <br />City Engineer to complete Project #82-1. <br /> <br />Further, it is directed that the City Engineer inform the <br />above contractors in writing of the Council action. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember <br />Van Wagner to adopt Resolution #82-160 ordering preparation <br />of report on Improvement Project #83-2, contingent upon <br />City Attorney obtaining approval from bonding company that <br />1979 bonding funds may be utilized. (Please refer to resolu- <br />tion file for Resolution #82-160). <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that <br />property owners along 167th should be assessed the equivalent <br />amount that was assessed to property owners in the Jasper area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, <br />Sorteberg, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that it is very important to get'~a <br />survey of the Ramsey Developmen! Park so that volunteer <br />developers can plan and perform construction of road and <br />parking facilities into the park and therfore have 2 or 3 <br />softball diamonds ready for use in 1983. He further stated <br />that a survey is necessary considering the river and layout <br />of the land. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that Ramsey Maintenance Shop land should <br />also be surveyed. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City is not doing anything with <br />these properties right now and that he sees no real urgent <br />need for surveys at this time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he would not request a survey <br />for Ramsey Development Park if he wasn't sure that it was <br />going to be developed. He also stated that he obtained the <br />land for the Ramsey Development Park at no cost to the City, <br />that he obtained the right-of-way for County Rd~ #5 and #47 <br />and Industry Blvd. at no cost to the City and certain <br />accomplishments on Sunfish Blvd. at no cost to the City. <br />He further stated that most of his accomplishments are <br />without any money and when he has the ability to put pieces <br />together, he should be allowed to do so. That the City can <br />construct a fine park without spending a lot of money, but <br />a survey has to be performed by City personnel. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember <br />Sorteberg to direct the City Engineer to perform the following <br />land survey of certain City properties and not exceed the <br /> <br />C/November 23~ 1982 <br />Page 12 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
