Voting No: Councilmembers Van Wagner and Cox. <br /> <br />Council members discussed briefly the recommendations received from the <br />Council Personnel Committee on the part time hourly persons that City utilizes <br />during certain periods of the year. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayo~r Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to increase the <br />hourly rate of pay of the following part time positions: <br /> <br />a. Part time Street and Snow/Ice Employees - <br /> <br /> 1982 1983 <br />Hourly Rate Hourly Rate <br /> <br />Drivers <br />Snow Plow Wing Operator <br /> <br />8.25 to $10.00 <br />7.5o to $ 8.oo <br /> <br /> b. Tree Inspector <br /> <br /> c. Skating Rink Attendants <br /> <br />*d. Part Time Summer Help In Parks <br /> <br /> $ 4.80 to $ 5.25 <br />+ $50/Mo. + $50/Mo. <br />$ 4.00 to $ 4.25 <br />$ 7.50 to $ 8.25 to <br />and up $10.00 Maximum* <br /> <br />*These employee rates will be approved by City Administrator before granting <br />the hourly rate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed the Council Personnel Committee's recommendation <br />on City's share for hospitilization insurance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Mayor Gamec to increase the <br />City's share toward health insurance from $90.00 per month to $125.00 per <br />month which also includes the City's cost for term life. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg, <br />Van Wagner and Cox. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />approve of paying those City employees and'public officials the ~ifferenCe <br />between the cost of the single health insurance coverage and the City's share <br />on the coverage~ -However, the City's fringe costs (~!CA & PERA~ that are <br />involved must be deducted from the amount that is to be reimbursed on each <br />individual who is in~thi~s~category. ~--' :~? ~ ~.
