Mr. Schnelle commented that there are some employees, who looking ahead to <br />retirement, have chosen to go with an insurance plan other than that which <br />the City is offering. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg commented that the intent of this motion is to assure <br />that all employees are equal as far as benefits are concerned. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, Van Wagner and Reimann. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Cox. Abstain: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Mayor Gamec to have the <br />Council Personnel Committee review the cost of living index in June 1983 and <br />report back to the City Council in July 1983. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Animal Control: <br /> <br />No action. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />appoint Mr. Arnie Cox the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case #8: Speed Zoning On 167th Avenue NW: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution #82~ 74 to post a 45 mph speed limit on 167th Avenue NW <br />from CSAH #5 to Hwy. 47, further that City Attorney provide for a workable <br />ordinance regarding turning lanes, shoulders, pedestrians and bicyclists. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Van Wagner, <br />Sorteberg and Cox.
