Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to
adopt Resolution ~83-210 authorizing the purchase of a 1984 police squad
car. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-210).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann
and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner.

Case #6: Request For A 90 Day Extension For A Mobile Home; Case Of Mr.
Michael Sivula:

It was the unanimous consensus of Mayor and Councilmembers present that temporary
mobile homes in the City have caused nothing but problems and the City's
policy regarding same should be wiped off the books.

Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to grant Mr.
Michael Sivula a 90 day extension to his mobile home permit effective until
March 31, 1984. Further, that Staff forward a letter to Mr. Sivula informing
him that if the mobile home is not removed from the property by this expiration
date, Mr. Sivula will forfeit the $300 permit fee and be subject to court
action.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann
and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner.

Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter authorizing City
Staff to draw up an amendment to the ordinance which would eliminate all
temporary use of mobile homes within Ramsey City boundaries.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann
and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner.

Case #7: Setting Date For Public Hearing For NDH's Planned Unit Development
(PUD):

City Administrator Schnelle inquired if Council wished to conduct a public
hearing regarding utilities separate from the public hearing for the PUD
itself.

Council consensus was that two separate hearings is not necessary; that the
density proposed in the PUD is certainly going to require public utilities.

City Engineer Raatikka stated that public utilities would affect two property
owners and Norm Holm has submitted a petition.

Mr. Art Raudio was present and stated he would be submitting a petition also
for utilities.

Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to hold
the public hearing for NDH's Planned Unity Development at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday,
January 10, 1984, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.,
Ramsey, Minnesota. Further that the public hearing notice be published in the
Anoka County Union twice prior to the public hearing, and that a drawing showing
the location of the PUD be published with each publication.

Motion carried.
