Jack Engels commented that the taxes increase every year anyway and if 168th <br />had been blacktopped properly in the first place, sealcoating would not have <br />been necessary for 10-12 years. <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner stated with regards to taking road maintenance out of <br />City General Fund, that the State imposes a levy limit on each city and if <br />Ramsey pays for'seatcoatingi'o~t of the City General Fund, we would exceed our <br />levy limit and be fined and the only way to raise the levy limit is to put it <br />to a vote of the people. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Schlueter, Sorteberg and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None.
