PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing regarding assessments for Street Improvement Project #83-1, <br />MSAS Variolite Street NW and 155th Avenue N-W, was called to order by Acting <br />Mayor Gary Reimann at 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 1983 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka gave a slide presentation of project costs. <br /> <br />There was no citizen input. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Reimann, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Van Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec, <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 7:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, ~ <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />Council Secretary //ity ~ministrator <br />At this point, Mr. Gary Albrecht as a definition of MSA. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka replied that MSA is a Municipal State Aid Street. When a city has <br />a population of over 5000, it is eligible for State aid funds and at that time <br />the City has to designate certain streets as collector routes and State funds <br />can be used to upgrade those streets. To qualify as an MSA street, it must <br />begin at a State Highway or State Aid Road and end at a State Highway or State <br />Aid Road. <br /> <br />Sp C/September 13, 1983 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
