Mr. Ron West: He is here about a 10 acre piece of land sold by Mr. <br />LaBounty to a buyer who wants to build a home on it. The Board <br />stated Mr. LaBounty would have to go to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to comply with Platting Ordinance No. 8 on the subdivi- <br />sion of land. <br /> <br />Mr. Alan Heifort: He owns the last lot on the south end of Helium <br />Street. He asked why the Township was putting in a ditch along <br />the easement at the south end of his lot. Mr. Fricke stated the <br />best thing we can do for this area is to drain this lot. He said <br />there would be a pipe 18" in diameter at the end of this ditch to <br />take the drainage water into the river. This swale would then be <br />seeded. <br /> <br />Carson-Deerwood Plat: Mr. Nelson moved these roads be accepted <br />per the engineer's O.K. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Motion car- <br />ried. Mr. Pittman will check up on the mobile home situated on <br />this plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Nelson moved .the maintenance bond must be effective for one <br />year after the first building permit is issued pursuant to the <br />ordinance change. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Russell Roads: We will start on these roads immediately, but we <br />must have the check in the office before the road work is started. <br /> <br />Mr. John Zobava: Mr. Hopperstad moved we appoint Mr. Zobava to <br />the Park Board based on the recommendation of the Park Board. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion passed by four votes. Mrs. Oli- <br />phant was opposed. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Laws: Lions Club is making arrangements to honor Mr. Laws <br />for his service to many people over many years. WCCO will have him <br />on September 18th as Good Neighbor of the Day. It was suggested <br />we get ready some type of a plaque for Mr. Laws in appreciation of <br />their work with about 26 orphaned children. Mr. Nelson suggested <br />we write him a letter of appreciation from the Board. Mr. Nelson <br />will work with Mr. Cox on this project. <br /> <br />Additional Land for Garage Addition: Mr. Nelson had talked to Mr. <br />Holm about land which he owns on the north side of the Township <br />garage. Mr. Holm will get back to Mr. Nelson with the price. Mr. <br />Nelson will get in touch with Mr. Holm before the next meeting. <br /> <br />Theft of Our Snowfence Posts: Mr. Reimann has asked Mr. Chapman <br />about storing the culverts and fence in his barn. Mr. Chapman had <br />agreed to this. <br /> <br />Discussion on review of dog ordinance to make changes to cut down <br />on the number of dogs in the community. <br /> <br />Building Inspector: Mrs. Oliphant moved we hire a full time build- <br />ing inspector and that we have Mr. Steffens advertise for a build- <br />ing inspector and that he make the selection. No second to this <br />motion. Motion died. <br /> <br /> <br />
