July 23, 1974

ILamsey Townshi.p Board
o.[ Superv:Lsors
/\.iK) !c..~, ~'[i'nno f;(~ L-o 55303

Oear S u. per vi f;o'l?s:

'!'n rega~-d t:o '171; ~.iiuutes of Meeting 6-17-74:

]7 ;!eel it necess~lry to correct the portion of the minutes which pertain to
Io.v dit('.l~ p~7ob.l, em.

Tu the minutes it is stated that Mro Pittm~n said I gave. permission to LXlr.
¢?uLckstrom's people to dig a ditch on my property and I agreed ! had. This
was not the case at all. He said I gave t~hem permission to be there and
][ agreed I had~ l-~r. Quickstrom or his agent specified a slight lowering
between ~he two lots~ unobserva~le unless searched for~ no proble,m with
~r(:,wJ_ng ~;rass, etc.

!n essence, he obtained permission to install a sidewalk, then proceeded
t.o build a four-lane expressway.. The fact that he planned on tunneling
under the village road and had not acquired a village permit was not even
raen t i. oned,

The facl: that t coraplained for some of the neighbors that their houses were
b~ui.J.t in land which in the rainy season is virtual swampland, that the
l>n. seme~',: wall. of one collapsed during construction was not even mentioned.

It is further stated that I would obtain written permission from .ny fellow
land holders for the village to fill the ditch~ I said we would discuss
it and get I~ack t:o Mr. Hopperstad.

We a. re still, considering it~ but whatever course we decide to.take, the
ultimate burden for correcting this deception bordering on fraud will be
on Mro QuLckstron~o The idea that the village reward Mr. Quickstrom for
t:lte i.ntended ordinance violation and lack of good faith by picking up uhe
~7,'tb to repair the Brookview '3rand Canyon grates on me and be assured many,
r:2:,v ol~her tovznship residents.

This cc:'~:c, ctlo:: sh.'u.!d be -.~7_de er n:x' denial added to the upcomiug ,ninutes
~'~'0 there will ba ::c', legal question about granting perznission to dig a
~.ii;~ ir,.age ditch.

Sincerely yours,

Fred W o Klam]~er
