- 3 - T.B.7/15/7& vote was two for and two against. Mrs. Oliphant moved we hire Mr. Clarence Sharpen to do this work. No,second to the motion. Mr. Nelson amended Mr. Reimann's motion to wait for two weeks to get other bids for equivalent work, otherwise Mr. Sharpen will auto- matically be awarded the bid. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion car- ried. Community School District #ll. They want us to purchase a large van (each community) to place at the Community Schools. We are in favor of recycling but not buying a truck. Mr. Nelson will contact Mr. Jim Stewart to get more information on this matter. Mr. Berg is attending a meeting tonite with the City of Anoka to discuss his boundary problem. 10:20 Bernie Stephens: Mr. Nelson feels we can implement many of these items by ourselves. Mrs. Oliphant feels it would be money well spent to hire someone in an administrative capacity. Mr. Nelson feels we should wait a few months. Mr. Nelson would like a list of what they consider priorities. Mrs. Oliphant moved we contact Mr. Stephens about a preliminary contract subject to the presen- tation of a final contract which meets with the approval of the Town Board and the Township Attorney regarding his terms. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried. 10:50 Ordinance on engineering fees on sketch plans: Amending Ordinance 73-15 which calls for a deposit of $&O0. This was read by Mr. Good- rich. Mr. Nelson moved we pass Ordinance 74- amending Ordinance 73-15 which was an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 8 adopted ~- 17-72 and entitled: "An ordinance establishing comprehensive plat- ting regulations for the laying out of streets, alleys, and other public grounds and the subdivision of land establishing the require- ments for the approval of subdivision plats within the Township of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, pursuant to the authority granted by State law and providing penalties for the violation of this or- dinance.'' Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Motion carried. County benefits for Merle Mevissen. He is a heavy equipment opera- tor. Under discussion were vacation, sick pay, paid holidays, hos- pitalization, insurance, etc. Mr. Goodrich suggested we get the actual County contract as soon as it is availabe. Mr. Nelson sug- gested that we notify PERA that our current officers Mike Auspos, Robert Hansel and David Gustafson have been hired by the Township of Ramsey on a part time basis. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Motion carried. 11:08 Mr. Gilbert Menkveld: He wants a variance to change the shape of two lots on 16&th Avenue in Country Park to make them one acre each and then they will have 200 foot frontage on 16&th Ave. Mr. Rei- mann moved we acqept these two lots of one acre each providing they both face 16&th Ave. N. W. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried.
