The license ex- <br />pires July 1. <br /> NOt all used car Sales- <br />men are bad, said 12th <br />W a r d Alderman Russel <br />Green, but when-"people <br />like this come before the <br />Committee we should <br />mOve and put them out of <br />business. '" <br /> <br /> The company~ located at <br />5245 Lyndale Ay. S., was <br />formed to sell used cars on <br />consignment and deduct a <br />percentage of the sale <br />price as commission. <br /> But, as one attorney put <br />it yesterday at a commit-~ <br />tee meeting, the company ~. <br />started having problems <br />with its bookkeeping "or <br />lack of itJ' <br /> The Minnesota attorney <br />general's office obtained a <br />court order Iast month to <br />prohibit the company from <br />selling cars, alleging that <br />the company and four re- <br />lated corporations had not <br />paid the former owners of <br />about 100 cars it sbld. <br /> The company Was al- <br />lowed 'to reopen after it <br />agreed in cottrt to a plan <br />to protect future custom- <br />ers: 'Money from the sale. <br />of cars will b~ put in an <br />6scrow account 'adminis- <br />tered by a certified public <br />accountant, and persons <br />who consign their cars to <br />be sold on three company <br />lots will be paid within 15 <br />days of the sale. <br /> <br /> <br />
