- g - T.B.3/18/7~

now taking over the police work for Ham Lake , whether
they had enough police protection left to take ca~e of our Town-
ship and others. A question was asked as to how much the Sheriff's
Department gets from the taxes in Ramsey To~ship. There was dis-
cussion as to whether it would be good to try to adjust our own
police protection time with that of the County so as to try to get
better coverage. We will contact the Sheriff's office to get a
monthly report on their coverage in Ramsey. It was also suggested
that we contact the Sheriff's office to ask someone from that of-
lice to be present at our next Board meeting.

Mr. Eldon Hall: Sketch Plan for Lindsey farm across the street
from the Town Hall. There is much low land down near the Rum
River. It was suggested that a good location for a bridge across
the Rum River would be continuing east from the point where High-
way No. 5 junctions with Highway No. ~7. This farm is 1~ miles
long. An 18 hole golf course is planned in the southern part and
the area near the river. This plat has 196 acres with g7 one acre
lots. There were also future plans for condominiums and town
houses along #g7 when sewer and water come in.

It was decided to repair the roof on the garage.

There has been a change of date for the School Board meeting at
Jackson Jr. High School. It will be on March 27th at 6:30 pom.

Discussion on lease for park land at the new elementary school
site. It seems the school planners felt the playground should be
scattered around the whole school building. They were thinking
along the line of natural play equipment such as logs, culverts,
etc.

Menkveld's Country Park. It needs seeding, bonding, drainage
easements, culverts, and Class V on all roads. Mr. Nelson moved
we require a bond. Seconded by Mr. Murphy. Motion carried.

McInnes said Mr. Fleissner is trying to sell his land and that
the ditch was not deep enough at Puma and 153rd Ave. and that it
was going over the road.

There is a temporary driveway that has been put in on 153rd just
west of #83 road on the north side. This road should not be there
as it not according to the plat presented on this property. We
Will contact Mr. Fulton about this matter.

Mr. Murphy moved we use the Anoka County Union as our official
newspaper. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Motion carried.

Mr. Murphy said he had received a letter from Mr. Hutchinson of
the Anoka County Health Dept. Our Chairman has always been our
health officer. There was a brochure for the Board to read on
requests made by the Anoka County Health Dept. This was postponed
until our next meeting. It was felt that we would rather take
care of our own matters, such as this, in Ramsey Township.
