REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TOWN BOARD <br /> <br />January 21, 197~ <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, <br />Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, <br />Clerk, and Mr. Goodrich, attorney. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Cox. The <br />address of Mrs. Richard Peterson should be added to the minutes. <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved the minutes be approved as read with this <br />addition. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox was requested by Mr. Murphy to do the next Friday broad- <br />cast on January 25th. He stated he would take care of this. <br /> <br />Discussion on the terms of the five members for the incoming board. <br />Mr. Cox moved that Mr. Goodrich be commissioned to seek legisla- <br />tion to provide the length of these terms. Seconded by Mr. Hop- <br />perstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Treasurer's report was given by Mr. Hopperstad. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann read the Minutes of the last Planning and Zoning meet- <br />ing. He stated the Deerwood Plat was recommended for acceptance <br />prior to this meeting. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Mr. Fricke and Mr. Goodrich should be present <br />at the next Planning and Zoning meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider gave the Park Board report. <br />Park are up and operating. <br /> <br />The lights in Peltzer <br /> <br />Mr. Murphy stated that anyone who was interested in running for <br />the Town Board, Clerk, or Treasurer, should come in between Jan- <br />uary 28th and February llth to file for the office. <br /> <br />Mr. Stahlman, David Sonneman, Terry Ajax, Ronald Schmitt and Gary <br />Thomas were present to speak about the road up in the northwestern <br />corner of the Township, on 169th Ave. N. W. They stated that Mr. <br />Specht had had some trees taken down by a construction company and <br />wondered what was happening about this road. Mr. Cox said the cost <br />of building this road would be prohibitive. These men do not want <br />this road put in because they said they would then have roads both <br />in front and back of their homes and that they have small children <br />and think this is very unsafe. Mr. Cox stated if the land owners <br />want to pay for a road on their own land that it has nothing to do <br />with the Township. Mr. Cox said he was going on record as opposing <br />building this road. The group of men said that children were going <br />back into the hills and having parties and that they drive at very <br />high rates of speed. Mr. Stahlman said he wanted to go on record <br />as opposing this road and that he did not think the Township should <br />be forced at some future date to build a road there. It is to go <br />on record that the work done on this road was done by a private <br />party and had nothing to do with the Tovmship. Mr. Stahlman asked <br /> <br /> <br />
