Motion carried. <br /> <br />We will order hose for the pump for the Township parks, roads, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld has requested a building permit for a storage build- <br />ing 100 x 60 feet to be erected at the north edge of the present <br />airport. The opinion of the.attorney and the Board is that this <br />permit can be issued if it meets all other requirements. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider reported on the Wild and Scenic Rivers meeting held <br />in Elk River by Jeff Featherstone. This is Minnesota H. S. File <br />672, Chapter No. 271. They will have an another meeting tonight <br />in Elk River. There will be another meeting on February 13th at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Elk River Junior High School. Mrs. Schneider was <br />thanked by the Board for her report on this meeting and the work <br />she has done for the Township. <br /> <br />A drug information meeting will be held at the Tec. Center on <br />January 5lst at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. <br /> <br />The continued incorporation hearing for Grow Township will be on <br />January 28th at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Office of Economic Opportunity: Mr. John Dosedel from the Tec. <br />Center was present to speak. He said if elderly persons in this <br />area would like to organize, they could call Rose Warniken in the <br />Court House in Anoka for more information. He also said the MTC <br />bus could come out here but we would have to pay additional taxes <br />of $16,000 for this service. He said senior citizens might be <br />eligible for additio~income if they were handicapped~ over 65 or <br />blind, if their income was below a certain level. We could give <br />this information to our citizens in our next Newsletter. He can <br />be reached at 786-7272. 50~ of Riverside Park in Anoka was paid <br />for by federal funds. Only 25~ was paid by the City of Anoka. <br />If you are going to use a park in Anoka, use this one. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Grow and Coon Rapids be contacted about the <br />"forum" meeting suggested in the letter written to Mr. John Boland <br />of the Metropolitan Council by the mayor of Anoka. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich will find out how or if we have received any money <br />from the court fines on cases from Ramsey Township. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved we pay the bills as listed. <br />Cox.
