REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TO~ BOARD December 17, 1973 The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, Clerk, and Mr. Goodrich, attorney. The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Hopperstad. Mr. Cox moved the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. Treasurer's Report was read by Mr. Hopperstad and accepted as read. Gary Reimann read the minutes of the Planning and Zoning meeting. Park Board Report was given by Kathy Schneider. About the coming park on the new school site, the School Board will not sell any of this land but they will lease it to us for one to ten years for a dollar or so. We will be buying a pump to be used for flooding skating rinks, etc. Announcement: We are saddened at the death of the oldest son of one ofour residents, Ralph Dickenson. He was 13 years old and was killed in a snowmobile accident. The airport hearing has been continued until January 7th at 7:00 p. m. The Planning and Zoning Commission will attend this meeting together with the Town Board. Mike Auspos called on Mobil International about the junk along their back premises. They told him they would have this cleaned up by the first of January. / ¢ Mrs. Richard Peterson/and her husband were present. She requested permission for a beauty parlor in her home by appointment only. They live on over eleven acres and have very adequate parking facilities. She would be inspected by the State. She has a state license. She brought in signed statements from her three closest neighbors stating they had no objection to this home occupation. Mr. Hopperstad moved this home occupation be granted on the recom- mendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. Mr. Cox had a variance request for a shelter for two horses on file. Mr. Hopperstad moved we grant this variance for the shelter on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Sec- onded by Mr. Murphy. Motion carried. Mr. Gesko of the City of Anoka had been contacted and attended a meeting with our Town Board and the Minnesota Highway Department regarding the continuance of a service road from Nelson's Drive In to the Maple Lodge Motel owned by Mr. George Krepsky. Mro Krep- sky, Mr. Kovar and Mr. Cox went down to the Minnesota Highway De- partment in Golden Valley to discuss this situation. The stop and go sign at Park Street and Highway 10 and the closing of the cross- over to the motel has practically stopped business coming to this motel from the east and Mr. Krepsky wants something done about it.
