REGULAR MEETING OF RAMSEY TO~ BOARD <br /> December 17, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Mr. <br />Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peterson, Clerk, <br />and Mr. Goodrich, attorney. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Hopperstad. <br />Mr. Cox moved the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded by Mr. <br />Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report was read by Mr. Hopperstad and accepted as read. <br /> <br />Gary Reimann read the minutes of the Planning and Zoning meeting. <br /> <br />Park Board Report was given by Kathy Schneider. About the coming <br />park on the new school site, the School Board will not sell any of <br />this land but they will lease it to us for one to ten years for a <br />dollar or so. We will be buying a pump to be used for flooding <br />skating rinks, etc. <br /> <br />Announcement: We are saddened at the death of the oldest son of <br />one ofour residents, Ralph Dickenson. He was 13 years old and was <br />killed in a snowmobile accident. <br /> <br />The airport hearing has been continued until January 7th at 7:00 p. <br />m. The Planning and Zoning Commission will attend this meeting <br />together with the Town Board. <br /> <br />Mike Auspos called on Mobil International about the junk along <br />their back premises. They told him they would have this cleaned <br />up by the first of January. <br /> / ¢ <br />Mrs. Richard Peterson/and her husband were present. She requested <br />permission for a beauty parlor in her home by appointment only. <br />They live on over eleven acres and have very adequate parking <br />facilities. She would be inspected by the State. She has a state <br />license. She brought in signed statements from her three closest <br />neighbors stating they had no objection to this home occupation. <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved this home occupation be granted on the recom- <br />mendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox had a variance request for a shelter for two horses on <br />file. Mr. Hopperstad moved we grant this variance for the shelter <br />on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Murphy. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Gesko of the City of Anoka had been contacted and attended a <br />meeting with our Town Board and the Minnesota Highway Department <br />regarding the continuance of a service road from Nelson's Drive <br />In to the Maple Lodge Motel owned by Mr. George Krepsky. Mro Krep- <br />sky, Mr. Kovar and Mr. Cox went down to the Minnesota Highway De- <br />partment in Golden Valley to discuss this situation. The stop and <br />go sign at Park Street and Highway 10 and the closing of the cross- <br />over to the motel has practically stopped business coming to this <br />motel from the east and Mr. Krepsky wants something done about it. <br /> <br /> <br />
