- 2 - T.B.12-17-7

The Minnesota Highway Department wants to close the cross-over in
front of the Tec. Center. We have also received another letter
from the Highway Department about the Y at Highway #47 and High-
way No. 5. Mr. Robinson stated the department does not have the
money to make any changes at this time. They did not have a high
accident incident here and so this would not be changed for some
time. He said there was insufficient signing at this point and
that this would be taken care of.

A change has been desirable in the procedure for handling incoming
plats. In Section 5 the words "sketch plan may" will be changed
to "sketch plan shall". It was also discussed that people should
be notified within 350 feet for matters of rezoning, etc. Mr. Cox
moved we pass.Ordinance No. 73-15 changing the incoming procedure
on plats to a required sketch plan to the Planning and Zoning Com=
mission first, then the preliminary plat to the engineer, then
the preliminary plat to the Planning and Zoning Commission, then
to a public hearing and then to the Town Board meeting. Also the
above mentioned changes from "may" to "shall" and the 350 feet for
notification on plats and rezoning requests. Seconded by Mr. Hop-
perstad. Motion carried.

In the minutes of the Anoka County Planning and Advisory minutes
it was noted that the Carter Valley plat acceptance had been re-
scinded by this Commission. This plat had not been passed by our
Planning and Zoning Commission.

Starting a week from Friday, Ramsey Township will have a 15 minute
broadcast on KANO from 12:~5 to l:OO. One week will be the Park
Board, another the Town Board, another the Planning and Zoning
Commission, etc. We are very happy about this opportunity to get
information to our residents.

Mike Auspos will bring in a sample of an ordinance needed on squeal-
ing tires, etc.

Discussion on acquiring two more board members. Our present mem-
bers have a large load with many meetings to attend outside of the
regular board meetings, more than they feel they can efficiently
handle. It was decided to wait until the March elections for the
two addition~lmembers because thereare only two more monthly meet-
ings before the annual election in March.

A Newsletter will be sent out to the residents after Christmas in
which will be mentioned the opening for two addition~members to be
voted on for the Town Board. Filing dates are January 28th thru
February llth. The date of the election is March 12th from 7:00
a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The new school has been started. The well is in.~

From January 1st on the voter registration will be turned over to
Anoka County due to legislation passed on the State level this past
year.
