REGULAR MEETING OF R~2~SEY TOWN BOARD <br /> November 19, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by the Chairman, <br />Mr. Murphy. Present were Mr. Cox, Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Peter- <br />son, and the attorney , Mr. Goodrich. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox read the minutes of the last stated meeting. Mr. Hop- <br />perstad moved the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report: This report was read bM Mr. Hopperstad. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission minutes were read by Mr. Reimann, <br />Chairman of this Commission. <br /> <br />Park Board Report was given by Mrs. Schneider. They have been <br />considering a skating rink in the park in Whispering Pines Addn. <br />and also in Greenland Hills. They will need lights for the <br />skating rinks. Two lights were agreed upon by the Board. The <br />Park Board would also like a portable pump to be used to flood <br />rinks. Joe Poole of the School District works with children and <br />might do something along this line in recreation. Mr. Cox moved <br />the Park Board be given lighting in two areas and we would check <br />into the necessity of the pump and hiring someone to keep the <br />rinks cleaned off. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Boundaries of new school grounds can be gotten from Mr. Tom Berg- <br />stedt at the Tec. Center. We are negotiating to buy an area for <br />a park at the new school site, up to five acres. We have acquired <br />a large amount of good playground equipment at the cost of the <br />metal in the equipment. <br /> <br />Mr. Beaudry: Mr. Cox moved we return the $10,O00 certificate to <br />him for the bond for Whispering Pines Plat and Whispering Pines <br />Plat No. 2 on the approval of the engineer and our attorney. <br />Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved Mr. Robert Muller be appointed to the Park~ <br />Board. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. ~ <br /> <br />We will write a letter to Mr. Hubbard thanking him for the play- <br />ground equipment he was able to secure for us and that he cer- <br />tainly was a good citizen to be thinking about our needs out here. <br /> <br />Mr. Roy Hemphill: Wants a special use permit for a trailer house <br />in which to live while he is building his house. Mr. Hopperstad <br />moved we grant Mr. Hemphill a special use permit to live in his <br />trailer for 90 days on the recormmendation of the Planning and Zon- <br />ing Commission. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Thomas Way: The persons for whom a variance was granted on 7520 <br />181st Ave. N.W. have decided not to buy this piece of property <br />and so they are asking for the return of the $100 park fee. Mr. <br />Cox moved we return the park fee on 7520 181st Ave. N.W. and also <br />cancel the variance on this property. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
